A Bit About Me
A Tampa, Florida native now based in Portland, Oregon, my career has taken me cross-country twice, including the mountains of Colorado and the San Francisco Bay Area, in creative and communications roles across sports, hospitality, and agency work.
In 2013, while studying advertising with a background in journalism at the University of Florida, I became a radio show host for a nonprofit station in Gainesville. At the same time, I interned at No Idea Records, known for Less Than Jake and its signature colorful vinyl. On air, I featured local talent and worked as a live performance scout for my college’s student government and production team, helping curate showcases, events, and concerts.
While in school, I designed posters for shows at the Civic Media Center, 1982 Music and Arts Venue, and for artists like Pine Hill Haints and Twin Forks. Outside of that, I was writing short stories and producing music from my dorm using a 49-key MIDI board and a Samson G-Track.
That early mix of music, live events, and storytelling led to roles in graphic design, strategy, and communications with organizations including the San Francisco 49ers and San Jose Sharks, along with their affiliates. I later moved into agency work supporting Silicon Valley startups and am currently working on a book.
Outside of work, I still write and produce music, chase bluebird days at Mt. Hood, and spend time on the Oregon coast with my husband and our dog.
